These Subscription Terms govern your purchase and use of paid subscription plans offered by ClearScript, operated by Flouvou LLC. These terms supplement our Terms of Service and should be read together with them. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Subscription Terms.
We offer multiple subscription tiers with varying features, word limits, and pricing. The specific plans, features, and pricing available at any time are displayed on our pricing page and at checkout. We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue subscription tiers at any time. Changes to your current plan's features will not take effect until your next billing cycle unless the change is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
We may offer trial periods for certain plans. If a trial is available, the trial duration and any associated trial fee will be clearly disclosed at checkout before you complete your purchase. The trial fee is a one-time, non-refundable charge collected at the time of trial activation. During the trial period, you will have access to the features of the selected plan. If you do not cancel before the trial period expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the full rate for the plan you selected, and your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee.
ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Flouvou LLC and its payment processor to automatically charge your payment method on file at the beginning of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) at the then-current rate for your plan. Billing cycles begin on the date of your initial subscription purchase (or the end of your trial period, if applicable) and recur on approximately the same date each billing period.
You acknowledge and agree that: (a) your subscription will continue and you will be charged until you cancel; (b) the amount charged may change if you switch plans or if pricing changes with proper notice; (c) if your payment method is declined, we may retry the charge and/or suspend your access until payment is received; and (d) it is your sole responsibility to ensure your payment information is current and accurate.
You may cancel your subscription at any time using either of the following methods: (a) Account Settings: navigate to your account settings within the Service and follow the cancellation prompts; or (b) Email: send a cancellation request to hey@clearscript.ai from the email address associated with your account. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. No prorated refunds are issued for cancellation mid-cycle, except as described in our Refund Policy.
We recommend taking a screenshot of your cancellation confirmation for your records. If you cancel during a trial period, cancellation takes effect immediately and prevents the full subscription charge. After cancellation, your account will revert to limited access at the end of the paid period.
You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time through your account settings. Upgrades: when you upgrade to a higher tier, the change takes effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period at the higher tier rate. Downgrades: when you downgrade to a lower tier, the change takes effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle. You will retain access to the higher tier features until the end of your current billing period. Period Changes: switching between monthly and annual billing is treated as a plan change and follows the same rules.
Flouvou LLC reserves the right to change subscription fees at any time. We will provide at least thirty (30) days' advance notice of any price increase via email to the address associated with your account. The new pricing will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period. If you do not agree with a price change, you must cancel your subscription before the next renewal date. Your continued subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Each subscription tier includes a monthly word processing allowance. Word usage is counted based on the number of words processed through our tools (detection, humanization, grammar checking, plagiarism checking). Your word allowance resets at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused words do not roll over to the next billing period. If you reach your word limit, you may purchase additional word packs or upgrade to a higher tier. Word packs are consumed only after your subscription word allowance is fully depleted.
If a scheduled payment fails (due to expired card, insufficient funds, or other reasons), we reserve the right to: (a) retry the failed or past-due payment using any payment method on file, including through our payment processor's automated dunning and retry mechanisms; (b) issue new or updated invoices for outstanding balances; (c) send you notifications requesting updated payment information; (d) suspend your access to paid features if payment is not received within a reasonable period; and (e) cancel your subscription after continued non-payment. You authorize us to securely store and continue to use your payment credentials for these purposes. Outstanding balances may be collected at any time, including after account suspension, cancellation, or termination. We reserve the right to engage third-party payment processors or collection agencies to recover amounts owed. You are responsible for all fees, charges, and costs (including collection costs and reasonable attorneys' fees) incurred due to failed payments or outstanding balances. This section survives cancellation, termination, or expiration of your account.
BILLING DISPUTES: You must notify us of any billing discrepancy or error within thirty (30) days of the date the charge first appears on your account statement. Failure to raise a billing dispute within this period constitutes acceptance of the charge and a waiver of your right to dispute it, except where prohibited by applicable law.
If your subscription has been cancelled or expired, you may reactivate by purchasing a new subscription through the Service. Previous subscription history, including any unused word balances, does not carry over to a new subscription. We may offer promotional or win-back pricing at our discretion.
